STAY AWAY - Cons and Car Theives
Short version, I fell victim to the "free tow and diagnostic. After waiting 1.5 weeks just to find out what was wrong with the truck. I get quoted 1695 for a rebuild but told that the $395.00 I paid to have it dropped and looked out was taken out of that price. Allen then tells me it will be ready in 2 days. A week goes by, I call, Allen says he'll call me back. He calls back, tells me now it is going to be $2400 or $2100.... I ask what happened to $1695 and why is it not ready yet, it's now been 2 weeks... After about 15 more calls to Allen, Allen says he's going to just charge $996 total, so the $395 I already paid will be deducted.
Another week goes by, of course the vehicle isn't ready and I go in to see what is going on. Wayne Ray meets me, he quickly tells me the vehicle is ready and it's $1695 in addition to the $395 I already paid. I asked to see the invoice or build sheet, he says he doesn't know where it is. I asked what was done to the vehicle, he says he doesn't know... So how do you know the cost, but not what work was done? He finally says he'll call me back after talking to Allen over the weekend.
Week 3, I get a call at 9:30a, Wayne says Allen had a heart attack and he needs more time and will call me later. Having had enough of this, I go into the shop. Same story, Wayne gets hostile after I tell him I am not interested in a warranty. I HAD TO CALL THE COPS to get him to let me pay a ridiculous amount and then leave with my vehicle. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General. I still have no idea what was done to the vehicle.
Heads up Wayne Ray ran "Mr Transmission" in Houston, it went out of business and had 14 complaints with the BBB in under two years, which all the shop was open. STAY AWAY and report these thieves to the BBB and Attorney General if you have been had like the rest of us.
