I guess I should have checked the BBB on this co first as now I see they have had complaints with the Austin BBB, but I didn't and I am now sorry, We had Absolutely the worst experience with this co. First they got there 2 hours late to load the stuff. The driver was griping the whole time and tried to charge me more than the agreed price. This was an out of town move. They broke some very expensive items and would not pay to have them repaired. They left the place where items were loaded over an hour before we did and when we got to our destination they werent there yet , We had to wait about an hour for them. When they arrived the driver was still griping and I had to hire a couple of people to help unload. These people seem to be very lazy and were awful rude and extremely careless with our property. I will never use this outfit again!..............

In response to the owner of this co. continually saying my review is a fraud.....well, it is the TRUTH and I have a receipt and witnesses as to this is what happened. I wish the owner would have cared this much when they moved me as they do about my honest review of what happened. If they truly cared, my moving expereince with Elephant Moving would not have been such a Nightmare

As you can see, most of their ratings are great. However, the few bad ones, are terrible. The customer service at this place is terrible. They will not get back to you on a timely manner about anything. And once they have your money, forget it, you are screwed. As you can see, these reviews are quite thought out and tell a lot about the company. Most people reviewing wouldn't take the time to talk about all the minor details the movers did. The owners of the company put most of the reviews up here themselves. Be careful because these reviews came from the OWNERS and not actual customers. This company is not a good company and there are many better companies out there to choose from. Book a move with them at your own discretion. It would be much better to get a better moving company where the owners aren't idiots and actually care about their customers.

• They broke the water pipe while loading the washer and refused to pay for damages. I had to deal with flooded laundry room, plumber, dry wall repair on the day of move. I never got an apology for inconvenience they caused me nor compensation for repair cost. Elephant movers confirmed prior the move they will unplug appliances as part of the service
• They could not tell me where my belongings are and when they will arrive to CA for 2.5 weeks after moving date .
• They lost an item and did not even acknowledge the claim; I did not get any compensation.
• They hire third party movers for Interstate move so your staff will get loaded/unloaded onto different trucks multiple times - no wonder my refrigerator came back with scratches.
• Their final charge was almost double of the estimated charges, so next time I will hire movers with binding quote.

Never ever use Elephant Moving and Storage movers for your interstate move.

We used Elephant Moving to move our house in Steiner Ranch. We have a large house with a lot of heavy furniture. I was impressed with the large crew they sent to complete the move. Everything was done in one day - it was a very long day but the movers were very patient and did not stop working hard. Their estimator came to the house before the move to give us a quote, which was very close to the final cost. He explained how they wrap everything during the move, and as promised that is exactly what I saw the movers do. They took very good care of all of our things, and were nice about rearranging one of the rooms that turned out to be smaller than we thought and didn't fit the furniture the way we meant to. Only one item broke during the move. A small cabinet made of particle board that was already unstable came apart in the truck during the drive between houses. The crew leader had pointed it out to me and told me it might not make it because the pieces were loose, so that was ok. Everything went according to plan and seemed to operate very smoothly even though there were so many guys working together. I was very pleased with the fine service that we received. I have already recommended them to some friends. I know that our next move will definitely be with Elephant Moving.

We moved out of state, to Nevada. Our closing on the new house got screwed up while our shipment was in transit, and we weren't sure we would have a house for the movers to deliver to. It was very frustrating since to have them store and redeliver it would cost a lot of money, and to get our own storage and have a local mover move it all again once the house was sorted out was also very pricey. The office staff at Elephant Moving was very helpful during this nightmare. They managed to reroute their truck to buy us a few more days. Even though I'm sure I was a real pain every time I called they were very patient and polite all the time. In the end the truck arrived on the day the bank was supposed to finish fixing their mess, but the truck was early. The driver had to wait for several hours, but the cost for that was tiny compared to over $2000 for any other scenario. The driver was patient and understanding even though the bank kept pushing back their timetable later and later. When the house was finally ours his crew did a great job on the delivery and got everything moved in before bedtime, which was amazing! I would highly recommend this company to everyone! They made what was already a stressful situation go about as well as one could hope for, and they saved us a lot of money by being flexible with us when the bank was being hard (stupid banks!). I hope I never need to buy another house, because that process was a nightmare, but i know if I need to move again that Elephant Moving will make it as painless as possible!
