Caught between a swim and a dry spell? Drip dry on flipnotics' deck after a bracing swim in Barton Springs Pool just to the west in Zilker Park. Flipnotics is laid back with one barista who was voted most likely to know your name in the Austin Chronicle. There is a wide range of great coffee drinks, Italian sodas, as well as some muchies and yes, pie. The location on Barton Springs Road is convenient for anyone using the park.

this place is the best of independant austin, free from the corporate influence of "other" shops. that and a perfect cup of coffee to boot!

THis place really exhibits what Austin is about! THe coffee rules and the staff is unbelievably friendly. I have seen some of the best Austin music in this place than anywhere else, and its free during the week! Try the Cafe au lait or their sandwiches...
