I use to go to this store all the time when it was on 5th and Lamar area (by Jackson Ruiz) and I loved it. The clothes were great and the girls were so nice and helpful. I would spend $300 on a top and wouldn't regret it because I felt it was unique and I was really sold on it. Well now that they have moved over to the 2nd street district they ignore everyone who walks in and if you ask them anything it's like you have ruined their whole day of standing around. The owner, who is the same as the old location, has got a huge attitude now and acts like she is above it. I live down in that area and was so excited when they moved well now i wish they would just go out of business and let someone else come in. It sometimes has cute clothes but they are way over priced and the only way a boutique store can get away with this is customer service..well this has become foreign to them. This isn't a review because of one bad experience, this is like multiple upon multiple bad experiences and my friends feeling the same way. If you are going to spend money go to Estilo or Shiki because at least they won't treat you like you are something they stepped in. Oh and don't think dressing up and wearing clothes you bought from there will give you better customer service.. because it won't. Best of luck Girls Next Door. I went in to find a summer dress and asked the sales girl for help, which ended up being the owner. She was no help! She suggested two dresses, both of which were tacky and not what I asked for. Not to mention that when I tried them on and they both looked terrible, she proceeded to lie to my face and tell me they looked "cute." Found what I was looking for at Estilo instead.
If I had to hear they word cute again and the endless cries of a baby in the background, I would have gone mad!

I have read some of the other reviews that said they would not recommend Girl Next Door and I simply DO NOT AGREE! The employees and owners have amazing customer service. I always have so much fun shopping there! They can always help me find what I need. I was going through a phase where I could not find a pair of designer jeans that fit me right. When I went there looking for jeans they knew exactly what jeans were going to fit my body type. I ended up so excited about the jeans I bought that I wore them out! Yeah the clothes are expensive, but they carry really great designers, higher end prices should be expected. As a whole I would recommend Girl Next Door to any women in Austin who loves designer clothes and is looking for a more unique look!!

I'm from San Francisco, and when I came to Austin for good shopping, I fell in love with Girl Next Door. I'ts obvious that the buyers know and love their business becuase the clothes are different and chic. I had gracious assistance in finding some pieces that I had to have, even though I am not a size 2 nor am I rich. I have received MANY compliments on my clothes back here in California and I will make it a point to shop at GND next time I visit Austin.

Girl Next Door has the best selection of women's clothes in Austin! They carry all of the same brands and styles that you would typically have to go to LA or New York to get all right here in Austin! I always find exactly what I am looking for when I go there and Koshla and Toni can put together an outfit for any occasion! Don't waste time anywhere else, go to Girl Next Door first!!!
