I used to like going to Kenny's in the middle of the afternoon. On most weekdays they are open till 3pm but twice now I've been there at just after 2pm and it's been closed - the first tiume the door was locked and the second time the door was unlocked but the staff member told me they were closed (no "sorry but we closed early today" explanation).

If you need somewhere predictable I would try elsewhere.

Pity because otherwise I liked the place.

I used to live in Round Rock and would go to the Kenny's about once a week to study since it was right by the old comic shop. They've moved it but I'm sure the service is still the same. They had the best coffee around - better than starbucks or anything actually. They had fun games like scrable you could play and they had live music. The Specials were always really good and the guy behind the counter would make us special drinks because we were there so much. Ask them to surprise you!


I wish they would bring it back.

I'm new to the neighborhood and just had my first Kenny's experience! The staff were really friendly and the tacos were great! I had a snickers mocha--wow--What a wonderfull place!

Regardless of what anyone says about the service the food at Kenny's is great. Not once have I ever had a bad food experience there I was delighted when I was able to meet the cook one day, She held me in great conversation. Her pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and the fresh breads, especially the bread pudding are great. Boy let me tell you about her bread pudding, its so different but yet so good. She should be on one of those cooking shows on the food network. Kennys food is great and always served hot off the grill!!!

Kenny's continues to be my first stop for pancakes, tacos, and the best latte in north Austin. The Kenny's crew always remembers me and my dog and unless I stop them they have my "Kenny's Special" ready for me. Gary and Becca make a mean cup of joe.
