"Great Food"excellent food and great service.
"Nice facility, unimpressive food & service"This restaurant is in my neighborhood and I really want to like it because its convenient and it has a terrific outdoor patio and general atmosphere. But I've given it 3 chances and each time the food has been mediocre, the drinks small and somewhat watered-down, and the service unattentive. The standard in the Austin area for Mexican restaurants is fairly high and its very easy to do better...

"Great Food"Great food and service.Good neighborhood location.
"badfajitas"I ordered fajitas and they looked like yesterdays when they arrived. Over done and bits and pieces. My wife ordered cheese enchiladas and got chicken enchiladas. we were also charged extra for tortillas for my daughter. not happy with food and service.

"World Class Migas! by Elizabeth P. at InsiderPages "Migas - The way you want them...fried goodness with the best cheese in town! Migas have tomatoes, onions, peppers...You can even add bacon if you're feeling decadent. I can also attest to the veggie options. Very good. Sunday has Gospel Brunch. Please to Enjoy.(PS - Get tacos every Saturday your team is playing - it will guarantee a win)
"Over-rated"This place is just a trendy taco cabana. I cant believe it was rated so high. I was very dissapointed. Poor Parking (but i guess thats typical austin) and really poor food. The fajita meat plate i ordered was about 10% meat. The meat was not even high quality, it was shredded low quality meat.

"Great Food, Lazy service?"The food at Buenos Aires is fantastic. It's always fresh, always tasty, never a bad meal. The coffee and dessert are also very good. The owner, Chef and most of the staff do an outstanding job.
I eat there on a very regular basis, and am therefore somewhat familiar with their hours, and the fact that even though they may be open, they may only have empanadas, coffee and dessert at certain...
"Terrible Service"A friend of mine told me Buenos Aires had yummy gnocchi, so I thought I'd try it out. I took another friend who had been before and said the food was good, but the service was really bad. From what I could tell she was absolutely correct. I never actually got my meal (a sandwich) but had some really tasty empanadas. After waiting an hour (yes, an hour) for two sandwiches (yes, sandwiches)...

"Good Margaritas"Went here last night with my boyfriend. We had margaritas that were really potent! Two were enough! I had Enchiladas Mexicanas and never had it before. The guajillo sauce was new and delicious, and they put a yummy creamy sauce on top with onions. I will go back!
"Prejudiced?"My son and I walked into this restaurant tonight and were totally ignored. Nobody asked if we wanted to be put on the list, nobody would even speak to us so we could ask them. Perhaps it was my son's black clothing and leather jacket? After 15 minutes of being completely overlooked, we walked out. We will not go back to this place.

"Best value and taste"We have been patrons for nearly 7 years now (cant believe I havent posted a review before!) and have had no complaints; JUST praises and more praises. This is really good food with no frills and very friendly service. The lunch specials are the best way to go! Their portion sizes are HUGE (sometimes, its 2 meals for me). For us, its worth the wait and the drive. Recommend this 100% to...

"BEST salsas!!!"Best best best best best, interior rules too, like the pork ribs with smokey picante... mmmmmmmmmmmm
"Salsa good... but"The Salsa options are some of the best, but service is lacking. Nickel and dime you on everything. So if you can get over the slow service and being charged for .75 for 1 extra lime wedge for your water El Carbe is good eats with a lot of ...

"Margaritas were STRONG & the queso was HOT!"Went here with a large group for a work happy hour. Had a good time, great drinks, plenty of food options that were great for sharing.
"Not a very good experience"I'm a very easy person to please when it comes to food and service, but unfortunately, this place left me unsatisfied. From the time we got there, the bad experiences came. We headed to the bar to wait for our table and I ordered 4 drinks for my party. The total was $16. I gave the bartender a $20, expecting him to give me change and then I expected to tip him off of that change. He took...

"The faithful two"My husband and I have been customers of Darios for many many years. We love the Cheese Enchilidas and the Beef fajitas. oh yeah dont forget about the Dink it is so good. We use to go and eat inside, the owner and the staff knows us by names. For the last few years we just call in order and go pick it up, not because of anything wrong with the place, it's just we got lazy and desired to eat at...

"Wow!"This location is close to where I work, so I frequent it the most. The food is always consistent and good. Always feels like a healthier choice for me. Great new combo prices. Their horchata is the best, and they make it from scratch.
"Unsafe food - bad attitude!"I bought two burritos and put one in the fridge for lunch. The first was fine, if unremarkable... a sin in a city with such good Mexican food. But the second (guacamole jumbo) was INEDIBLE when I took it out 2 days later. The tomatoes throughout had gone totally bad.
This was a health hazard, so I went back to the restaurant. The manager never took me seriously, acting like I'd left it out or...

"Amazing, healthful, yummy and fresh choices. I LOVE Freebirds!"I always order the freebird with flour. I get lettuce, rice, black beans and one sliver of sour cream and about half a serving of cheese.
The ingredients are fresh and everything is vegetarian except for the meat (beans are veggie). The staff is eclectic and work fast.
Price is right and I love the frequent buyer card.
"Pricy, uninspired."I have to say I didn't like the place. I'm from El Paso, and when we go to a burrito place we expect to see things like chile verde, chile colorado, carnitas, etc. Having the option to choose between beef or chicken just doesn't cut it. The sauces are not good either. I know that pico de gallo varies from region to region, but I do know that it should be spicy and tangy. For what we get, the...
