"Great Service!"I live in an apartment next to UT and my complex used Airco to fix our leaking A/C unit. Someone called me in the morning to schedule a "time" (sometime that day-they'd call me 30 minutes before they came).

"talk less to the technician by garfield c. at InsiderPages "I recently got a water softener installed. when i called to get the rates, they told me the first hour would be $80 and then subsequent hours will be $70 . but when the guy came in, he charged $80 for the first 30 minutes, in which all he did was talk. When i called the company back they told me this is their rate. There was a conflict between the people there.

"Call a local guy instead"Fox told us that we needed to replace our A/C four years ago, but I decided to get a second opinion so I called an A/C guy that is independant (Mr.Cool). He told us our unit was perfectly fine and that he could easily fix it. He did, and we are happy four years later. I wouldn't trust Fox. They are too expensive and try to get more money out of you. The local guys are much better.

"No Service after the sale"I did not believe that any company could have customer service this bad. When they arrived, I had 2 of my 3 AC units working fine and one not working very good at all, but it was working. When they got done, I had one system running properly and one cooling to 81 degrees (cooling and 81 degrees in the same sentence !!). The tech said they needed parts and someone would contact me on Monday...

"Unacceptable Response to Warranty Issue"We had a new AC installed and the compressor went out while it was stilll under warranty (after 18 months). When we called to get it replaced, they quoted $1,544 labor. (the labor warranty was for 12 months and the parts warranty was for 5 years).

"Thermostat wired incorrectly"I paid 1400 labor for a 5 hour install. In the winter, the first time I used the heater, it broke. I called the service company, and they said it would be free if they did something wrong and $85 if not. I got online and checked their wiring. They wired X2 to C. This was a mistake, but the technician, Jeff, would not admit he made a mistake. He got mad and threatened to walk out of the job....
