"UNETHICAL BUSINESS "Because of the home warranty program I bought, we were forced to use Pope Plumbing. The job was never done correctly the first time....and that is not an exageration. The last time Pope Plumbing came out to repair a hot water heater, the same heater leaked and caused a couple thousand dollars of damage. After that, I called my own plumber to make repairs.

"Call a local guy instead"Fox told us that we needed to replace our A/C four years ago, but I decided to get a second opinion so I called an A/C guy that is independant (Mr.Cool). He told us our unit was perfectly fine and that he could easily fix it. He did, and we are happy four years later. I wouldn't trust Fox. They are too expensive and try to get more money out of you. The local guys are much better.

"Good service if you know how to play their game."When you call and are told there is a fee for an estimate tell them forget it, they will then wave the fee. "not recommended"I was new in Austin and Benjamin Frankin, Austin is the first plumbing service I used. Basically, there are three issues: (1) When I was told the estimation is free, it is just kind of cheating. When the estimation was done, I was told that I either use the service, or I have to pay $108 "diagnostic" fee, which is not covered by the "free estimation". In my case, no ceiling or wall was opened....
