"Nice Martini Spot! A 'Secret Spot' Downtown!!"Took a friend there Saturday night, half expecting the place to be awesome and disappointing at the same time. Perfectly tucked away on 8th street, you could pass by it without even noticing if you're not looking closely. Once inside though, we were thoroughly satisfied!! The atmosphere was inviting, the crowd MATURE and well-dressed, the music loud enough to hear, but not deafening. Our...
"BROWN BAR"THE BAR IS MUCH BETTER THAN MOST IN AUSTIN BUT IT STILL LACJS THE FRILLS THAT WOULD ATTRACT MORE MONEY CUSTOMERS. IT SIMPLY NEEDS CHARACTER.

Went there with my wife on Saturday, June 6. Some friends met us later than evening for drinks. This place has it all. Very good, reasonably priced food. Very good drinks and service to match. It also brings out Austin's beautiful people so the scenery is solid. Great location.
"Great scene, awful service, food even worse than that"Some friends I popped into the Belmont for dinner on a Friday night. There was a two-hour wait for a dinner table, but hey, it's Austin. We saw in the bar and ordered drinks. It took 20 minutes for them to arrive. Same problem with the next round, and at this point the place wasn't even that crowded. The beeper the restaurant gave us kept emitting a single loud BEEEEP! every ten seconds...

"Great place to drink before a game!"This is one of my favorite places to go before Football games. Drinks are affordable, but you better like beer because they don't have liquor. Food is a gamble- sometimes I'm really pleased and sometimes I'm disappointed, but it's definitely inexpensive. Seating can sometimes be a pain, especially if you're trying to sit where you can see a TV. Always a good atmosphere and always a good...

"WoW! Fun !"Went to Watch Cubs game the other day. I wish they had more of these, TV's everywhere and highquality. I got a Salad for lunch, It was huge and fresh not what i expected to see on the menu at a sports bar with a TON of beer, Yum Beer. Our Waitress was pretty cute too, Ill be back alot.
"(((((((((((((( AVOID ))))))))))))))))))))0"Food was terrible, had to send back my iced tea due to bad taste (try cleaning the tea brewing machine once in a while--it makes a world of difference). Couldn't eat the Burger because it tasted horribly burned and the meat was very sour. The bun was full of greese, and the greens were limp. My brother had the flat iron steak and he could not cut through it very well. I tasted it and it had...

"Worst Bar Ever"I went there last Saturday. It sucked. If you like over-crowded, trendy sausage fests, this is the place for you. I'm even madder now that I've read this place replaced the B-side. This is the worst bar in Austin.

"This place sucks!!!!!"Wow, this place sucks. I would NEVER go back. Whoever wrote the previous reviews probably work there because I don't know how anyone would enjoy this place. The Johnny Cash theme is about as cheesy as it gets and the bartenders are pitiful. With so many great bars in Austin don't bother with this place.

"Great bar, despite the Friday night DJ"I went to this place on Friday night for the first time and had an awesome night. Just a really fun place with a great vibe. The miracle is that I still felt like this after experiencing the worst DJ in the world. The guy puts of pretty much great track after great track, but then only plays it for 30 seconds to a minute, before he pretty much kills the music while he puts another track on....

"Eat here at least once a week!"My family and I have eaten at La Ferias since I was a kid, and we continue to eat there (at least once a week). It is family owned and operated and a true Austin original. The food is great and very reasonably priced, plates are large and I always have left overs, and the drink specials kick ass! When I leave Austin for any period of time La Feria's is the FIRST place I eat when I get back!
"Worst Mexican Food "We ordered the fajitas and they were horrible. The beef was chewy and bad quality. After trying the beef, I thought the chicken could not be worse, but it was. I do not know how you screw up fajitas. On top of that, the service was horrible. I never had my glass filled. It was not as if the waiters were busy because the place was half empty.
The salsa was had too much cilantro, but that be a...

"Where it's Happy Hour all The Time!"This bar is awesome! From the people that brought you Barfly's (5420 Airport Blvd.), The Hideout Pub (12164 North MOPAC), and Bender Bar and Grill (Suite 300 @ 321 West Ben White Blvd.). MUGSHOTS IS NOT A COLLEGE BAR! There might be some people there that are that age, but this is a bar where you can get away from the 6th street rigamaroll and the frat losers and can actually have a good time!...

"Best place for sports!"If you haven't been you need to go. Once inside it is a little overwhelming. Not just the fact that there is a T.V. everywhere you look, but some very nice scenery. And I haven't even started on the girls yet! They are trully remarkable. Not only are they amazing to look at but they are truly friendly and the service they give is awesome! The menu is a little more than what you would expect...

"I can't understand the parking con."I have been to the Triangle where the Flying Saucer is located several times. I can't understand the "con" associated with parking. The Triangle has at least two different parking garages besides the street parking. You can park across from the Flying Saucer in a two level garage, or behind the Flying Saucer near Mama Fu's in a 6 story parking garage. The walk is not far people, it's not like...
"Poor policy enforcement, rude staff."I went here for the first time recently to meet up with my family and friends. I was not planning on drinking or eating, and was hounded by an extremely rude doorman who wanted to see my ID. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, I understand the guy is just trying to to his job and not get the TABC breathing down his neck. I get it.
Things changed though when he insisted I leave because I am...
